BOARD OF MUSKINGUM TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES

PURPOSE OF MEETING: Special Meeting.
OPENING: The Muskingum Township Trustees met in special session on September 21, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. in the Fire Building. Trustees Jerry Miller, Mike Maniaci and the fiscal officer were present.
The purpose of the special meeting was to discuss and resolve the drainage issue on Welsh Road.
Maniaci stated he has signed agreements and easements for drainage from two properties. These being Michael and Lisa Havens and the other from Charles and Deborah King. Both have drainage culverts coming into their properties and needs to be drained away from Welsh Road or the road will eventually be washed out.
Both have agreed to let the township come in and do the work and trustees have gotten prices which are under the limit that did not have to be put out to bid.
They received bids from:
Zemba Brothers - for work and seeding $7,250.00
Kendrick Excavating – work without seeding $3,987.90
Dresden Landscaping – seeding plus installing ditch erosion protection. $1,851.94
Maniaci made the motion to have Kendrick Excavating do the ditch work and Dresden Landscaping do the seed work at the Havens residence at 6315 Winterwood Drive and the Kings property at 6395 Winterwood Drive. Miller seconded. Roll call: Milled ayed. Maniaci ayed.
Work to begin possibly Friday and seeding done next week.
Miller moved to adjourn. Seconded by Maniaci. All ayed.
