BOARD OF MUSKINGUM TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES
August 31, 2014
PURPOSE OF MEETING:
The Muskingum Township Trustee met in Special session on August 31, 2014 at 8:00 A.M. in the Fire Building for the specific purpose of accepting and rejecting bids for various road repair projects.
Trustees Mike Maniaci, Matt Hittle, Ed Fell and Fiscal Officer Jason Baughman were in attendance.
There were 0 residents in attendance.
Maniaci opened discussion of road repair projects and presented estimates from CAMM Ashpalt Restoration, LLC for the following road repairs:
Road Repair Description:
Clean all areas of debris, heat and rework existing asphalt, add rejuvenator and bring grade with fresh asphalt, roll and compact asphalt with vibrator roller for a welded seamless repair.
Estimate #1618 Eaglepoint Drive 236 sqft $4.00 per Total: $944.00
Estimate #1616 Saddlebrook Drive 4932 sqft $4.00 per Total: $19,728.00
Estimate #1614 Dresden Ct. 988 sqft $4.50 per Total: $4,446.00
Estimate #1615 Applo Way 1,508 sqft $3.75 per Total: $5,655.00 (to turnaround)
Estimate #1615 Applo Way 1,858 sqft $4.50 per Total: $8,361.00 (turnaround only)
Estimate #1613 Tiffany Drive 3,611 sqft $3.75 per Total: $13,541.25
Estimate #1617 Chloe Lane 1,320 sqft $4.00 per Total: $5,280.00
Maniaci stated he would discuss with CAMM about negotiating all the rates quoted per square foot to $3.75. Maniaci made motion to accept CAMM Asphalt’s estimates for the roads listed provided CAMM’s acceptance of a rate of $3.75 per square foot. Hittle seconded. Maniaci opened discussion regarding the slip repair project on Dresden Road. Maniaci indicated that Brett Sidwell estimated $125 per hour for the excavator, with township provided trucks, approximately 2-3 days for $2,500 to $3,000. Maniaci motioned to accept Brett Sidwell estimate provided that it not exceed 24 hours. Fell seconded. Roll Call: Maniaci ayed, Hittle ayed, Fell ayed.
Maniaci opened discussion in regards to crack-seal of Melody Lane. Maniaci indicated that Brett Sidwell provided estimate of .50 per sqft. Maniaci indicated that the trustees would identify the specific areas of the road to be crack-sealed.
Maniaci motioned to accept .50 per sqft price for crack-seal for Melody Lane received from Brett Sidwell. Fell seconded.
